Students from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), gained practical insight into monetary policymaking through the Bank of Ghana’s second MPC Educational Observership Programme, held on September 18, 23 and 24, 2026. The programme also involved students from GIMPA.
Participants engaged with Bank officials, observed technical presentations and toured Bank Square. They also observed aspects of the MPC proceedings, attended a press briefing and interacted with Governor Dr Johnson P. Asiama and Committee members.
The programme aims to promote transparency and develop future economists and policymakers. For the UPSA students, it connected classroom learning with practical experience in monetary policy and economic management.
