UPSA practitioners’ forum bridges theory and industry practice in supply chain management.

Students of the MSc Procurement Management programme at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), have gained practical insights into contemporary supply chain management through a Practitioners’ Forum organized by the School of Graduate Studies on 29 May 2026. The forum was held under the theme, “Supply Chain Management in Practice: From the Perspective of Industry”. The session featured Alex Mould, Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), who shared his experiences in strategic sourcing, supply chain resilience, stakeholder management and risk mitigation. He highlighted the growing role of supply chain management in enhancing organizational competitiveness, sustainability, and long-term value creation. Students described the forum as insightful and professionally enriching, noting that it helped them understand how concepts taught in the classroom are applied in real organizational settings. The initiative forms part of UPSA’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practice while preparing students for successful careers in procurement and supply chain management.
