UPSA welcomes sixth cohort of national security officers

The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has welcomed 32 officers from National Security agencies and allied organisations into the sixth cohort of its Master of Arts in Peace, Security and Intelligence Management (MPSI) programme. The pre-academic orientation was held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the National Security Secretariat in Accra.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, urged the officers to approach their studies with discipline and use the opportunity to build their professional capacity. The Deputy National Security Coordinator in charge of Operations, Major General William Azure Ayamdo (Rtd), also emphasised the need for security personnel to develop the expertise required to respond to emerging security challenges.
The orientation introduced the officers to the programme structure, academic requirements and administrative procedures ahead of their one-year postgraduate studies.
